Blink has expanded its smart home security lineup with the introduction of the Doorbell 2K+, marking the company’s first wired-only video doorbell alongside an upgraded battery-powered model.
The launch brings sharper video, wider coverage, and more flexibility to Blink’s already budget-focused ecosystem.
The wired version is positioned as a value-driven option for homes with existing doorbell wiring. It is priced at £39.99 / €49.99 and delivers always-on power, paired with 2K-resolution video for improved clarity in both bright daylight and more challenging low-light conditions. For users who prefer not to worry about battery charging, the wired setup also ensures uninterrupted operation.
Alongside it, Blink has also introduced the Battery Doorbell 2K+, priced at £59.99 / €69.99 without a Sync Module; with one included, it costs £69.99 / €79.99. This model builds on previous generations with a set of meaningful upgrades, including the same 2K resolution and improved visibility across a wider range of lighting conditions.
One of the key improvements across both devices is a head-to-toe field of view. This allows users to see not just visitors at the door but also packages left on the doorstep. This small but practical change reflects how people increasingly use video doorbells to monitor deliveries as much as for security.
Both models improve usability in varied lighting conditions, with enhanced performance in bright sunlight as well as at night or in shaded entryways. Combined with Blink’s existing app ecosystem, users can view live footage, receive motion alerts, and check in on their homes remotely.
The introduction of a wired model also signals a subtle shift for Blink, which has largely focused on battery-powered devices. By offering both wired and battery-powered 2K options, the company is broadening its appeal. This works across different home setups without straying from its budget-friendly positioning.
With sharper video, wider framing, and flexible installation options, Blink’s latest doorbells aim to make entry-level home security a little more capable.
