Anker has given the smart home its own local brain, MindBase, an AI hub that keeps computing, storage and connectivity on-device.
The launch arrives amid a wider shift toward local AI processing in smart homes, and Steven Yang, chief executive of Anker Innovations, said MindBase gives a home “a true brain of its own that can understand what is happening across the home, make decisions locally, and coordinate the devices inside it.
MindBase links the wider ecosystem through Anker EasyOmni Link, a system that supports close to 100 Anker devices alongside hundreds of Matter-compatible products, while an on-device AI engine called Anker TrueSmart Agent runs on an in-house AI Core compute card rated at 26 TOPS.
Storage runs through Anker EverSafe Memory, a local NAS-style layer offering up to 48 terabytes of expandable capacity, and it supports natural-language footage search, highlight-reel curation and photo or video analysis without sending data to the cloud.
That local-first foundation underpins the first product built on MindBase, the Anker MindBase Security Kit, which pairs the hub with the upcoming eufy TrackLight Cam S1, a camera combining 180-degree dual-radar detection, 4K resolution and an auto-tracking deterrent light, alongside the Video Doorbell S4, a Smart Security Shield and additional entry and motion sensors.
The Smart Security Shield detects strangers from up to 15 metres away, its DSKey credential recognises family members from up to 30 metres, and the security agent responds in real time through lighting, verbal warnings, observation or active deterrence.
Anker has not confirmed launch timing or pricing for the MindBase Security Kit, though a wider eufy security lineup shown at IFA 2026 rounds out the platform with four separate products aimed at different parts of the home.
Wider eufy security lineup
The eufy Video Doorbell S4 offers a 180-degree panoramic field of view, a 9-megapixel lens, 3K resolution and colour night vision, and it carries a US MSRP of $299.99 with its Chime included, and it reaches Canada, the Middle East and Africa, select European markets, the UK and the US in late September.
The eufy NVR Security System E50 is available now in Australia, Canada and the US, and it pairs an eight-channel recorder with four hybrid pan-tilt-zoom cameras and a hard drive expandable to 16 terabytes, with pricing starting at $999 for the four-camera kit and $1,599 for the eight-camera kit.
The lineup also includes the Anker eufy Window Camera E10, which targets apartments and rentals with a window-mounted design and on-device AI detection at $69.99, and the Anker eufy Fall Detection Sensor, which adds non-wearable fall detection for older adults through millimetre-wave radar, with pricing for that device not yet confirmed.
Anker frames the entire portfolio around local-first data handling, and it processes sensitive biometric information on-device while offering the core features without a mandatory monthly subscription, though the company notes that select premium features may still require one.
