Paying under $35 for an extra camera changes the maths on covering more of your home, since two Blink Outdoor 2K+ cameras now cost $69.98 together, still $20.01 less than a single camera at its $89.99 comparable value.
Whichever corner it covers, the Outdoor 2K+ records sharp 2K video at 2560 x 1440 across a 135-degree field of view, wide enough to take in a garden, while 4x digital zoom lets you look closer at a face or a parcel on the step.
That clarity carries on after dark, since colour night vision keeps faces, colours and activity clear in low-light footage, so you can tell a neighbour’s cat from a stranger at the gate on a winter evening without guessing at shadows.
Spotting someone is only half of it. Two-way audio with noise cancellation lets you speak to a delivery driver or greet family through the Blink app on iOS or Android, with crisper sound so the exchange sounds as natural as answering the door yourself.
Getting the camera in place is just as straightforward, as the Blink Outdoor 2K+ runs on the two AA batteries included in the box and mounts in minutes with the supplied bracket, so there are no cables to run or sockets to find nearby.
Once it is up, Blink’s Weather Shield helps the camera stand up to rain, dust and severe weather, keeping your outdoor coverage running through wet winters and hot summers alike, with operation rated up to 113°F for the warmest days.
If you have a Blink system and a blind spot to fill, the Blink Outdoor 2K+ is yours for $34.99 at Best Buy, saving you $55 against its $89.99 comparable value while adding colour night vision, two-way audio and wire-free mounting.
