ULTRALOQ launches three next-gen smart locks with UWB, Aliro and Matter

ULTRALOQ has introduced three new smart locks for 2026, bringing Matter compatibility, digital wallet keys and hands-free unlocking to a new generation of connected door hardware.

The lineup consists of the $299.99 ULTRALOQ Bolt Mission, $269.99 Bolt Pro and $249.99 Latch 5 Pro. All three are Matter-certified and support major smart home platforms including Apple Home and Google Home, while Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro also support Samsung SmartThings.

The biggest difference between them is how they fit into your home and how you get through the door. Bolt Mission is a deadbolt built around ultra-wideband (UWB) technology for hands-free approach-to-unlock, while Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro use Aliro digital keys stored in compatible mobile wallets.

Three locks, three approaches

The Bolt Mission is the flagship lock, using Bluetooth Low Energy, UWB ranging, radar-based presence sensing and local processing to determine when an authorised person is actually approaching the door.

That means your phone can stay in your pocket or bag. Rather than simply detecting that an authorised phone is nearby, ULTRALOQ says the combination of technologies is designed to distinguish someone arriving at the door from someone who happens to be inside the house.

The $269.99 Bolt Pro takes a different approach. Its headline feature is an Aliro digital key, which can be stored in a compatible Apple Wallet or Samsung Wallet. A compatible phone or wearable can then be used to unlock the door without opening the ULTRALOQ app.

It also offers more conventional options, including fingerprint recognition, PIN entry, app control and a physical key.

The $249.99 Latch 5 Pro brings the same wallet-based approach to lever-style doors rather than deadbolts. That makes it suitable for side entrances, offices, garage-entry doors, rentals, and shared spaces.

Matter is built into all three

Matter certification gives the three locks a common route into supported smart home platforms, although not every advanced feature will necessarily be available through every ecosystem.

Basic smart lock controls can be handled through compatible platforms, while features such as digital credentials, fingerprint management and user-code administration may still depend on ULTRALOQ or the relevant wallet and platform.

Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro also work with Samsung SmartThings, allowing lock activity to form part of wider home automations.

ULTRALOQ says the new collection is available through its website and Amazon, with The Home Depot set to begin selling the locks online from October 2026.

For the Bolt Mission in particular, buyers will want to check whether their phone supports the required UWB functionality before opting for its hands-free approach. ULTRALOQ has not provided a complete list of compatible phones or all of the lock’s backup entry methods in the announcement.
