Reolink has finally launched one of its most ambitious security cameras in the UK. After first unveiling the device at CES earlier this year, the new OMVI 3i WiFi is now available to buy. It brings a rather unusual triple-lens design that’s built to cover areas that would normally require multiple cameras.
The OMVI 3i WiFi is part of Reolink’s new OMVI Series, but it’s the flagship model that stands out – especially as a serious contender to the best home security camera title. Instead of relying on a single lens or a traditional pan-and-tilt setup, it combines three lenses. As a result, it can deliver both a fixed 180-degree panoramic view and full 360-degree pan-and-tilt tracking from a single device.
For homeowners, that could mean fewer blind spots and fewer cameras to install around larger gardens, driveways or side entrances. Rather than stitching together feeds from multiple devices, the OMVI 3i is designed to keep an eye on a wide area. It also automatically tracks activity when movement is detected.
Installation has also been kept relatively straightforward. The camera uses a single cable for both power and data, helping reduce cable clutter. Additionally, it can be mounted on a wall, ceiling or corner depending on where coverage is needed.
Like Reolink’s other recent launches, the OMVI 3i WiFi leans heavily on local AI processing instead of cloud-based analysis. The camera can distinguish between people, vehicles, animals and general motion on-device. Meanwhile, the companion app lets users create custom detection zones, virtual boundaries and loitering alerts to reduce unnecessary notifications.
Storage remains one of Reolink’s biggest selling points, too. Unlike many rival security cameras that push users towards monthly subscriptions, the OMVI 3i supports local recording to microSD cards up to 512GB. It also works with Reolink NVRs, NAS devices and FTP servers. Cloud storage is available, but it’s entirely optional.
The Reolink OMVI 3i WiFi is available now from Reolink’s online store for £259.99, while a two-camera bundle costs £507.99. For a limited time, both versions are discounted by 15%. This makes the new camera a more tempting proposition for anyone looking to cover larger outdoor spaces without filling every corner of their home with separate security cameras.
