This Dreame lightstrip is a brighter alternative to Hue’s Flux, and it’s available now

Dreame has launched the Lightstrip P11 in Europe, bringing a high-output smart lightstrip with multi-zone control and Matter support to a category dominated by established rivals.

The release follows earlier appearances in the Connectivity Standards Alliance database and public showings at IFA 2025 and CES 2026, signalling a planned rollout rather than a surprise launch.

The Lightstrip P11 enters the market as a like-for-like alternative to premium lightstrips, where brightness, colour segmentation, and platform compatibility increasingly determine value more than basic smart controls.

Dreame positions the product against brighter use cases such as accent walls and under-cabinet lighting, where higher lumen output can reduce the need for multiple strips.

Brighter output with segmented lighting control

The Lightstrip P11 uses RGBICWW LEDs with 108 beads per metre, enabling both coloured lighting and tunable white output across multiple independently controlled segments.

Dreame lists brightness of up to 1,800 lumens per six-LED segment, a figure that places the strip above many competing five-metre kits in overall light output.

Multi-zone control allows different colours or whites to appear along the strip at the same time, supporting gradient effects and more precise ambient lighting layouts.

The strip includes more than 70 preset lighting effects, including several music-synchronisation modes designed to react to audio in real time.

That feature set reflects a broader trend toward dynamic, entertainment-focused lighting, rather than static colour scenes traditionally associated with smart lightstrips.

Smart home support and availability

Users can control the Lightstrip P11 through the Dreamehome app or via voice assistants including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, covering most mainstream smart home setups.

Matter support extends compatibility further, allowing integration with a wider range of smart home platforms without relying on brand-specific bridges.

Integrated 3M adhesive backing secures the strip during installation, while users can cut it from its original five-metre length to fit furniture, shelving, or architectural features.

The Lightstrip P11 is available now through Dreame’s online store in several European markets, including Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands.

Pricing is set at €99, matching the list price of Philips Hue’s five-metre Flux strip, while offering a higher claimed brightness rating of 1,800 lumens compared with Hue’s 1,200 lumens.

The launch gives buyers a new option in the premium lightstrip segment, particularly for setups that prioritise brightness and cross-platform smart home compatibility.
