What started out as a simple adventure turned into something more profound, a journey that changed both my hiking companion and me in ways neither of us could have foreseen. Along the winding paths of the Camino de Santiago we faced not just blisters and exhaustion, but our identity was put to the test. Issues that had been buried were unearthed, revealed, and cleansed, allowing healing to take place. Our friendship tested, then strengthened. Pain faced. A sense of who we were restored.

This is our story, but in many ways, it’s yours too.

This is a story of perseverance and transformation. Most of all, it is a story of learning to walk into the light. If you have ever longed to find yourself worthy, or to be healed from past trauma, these pages of overcoming might meet you on the road.
