Clarisonic is a brand of specialty skincare brushes that uses a patented high-speed oscillating action to gently clean and exfoliate. With frequent use, skin cells, moisturizer residue can begin to build up around the brush head. For this reason, most dermatologists recommend that you buy a new brush head replacement every three months or so. However, with regular cleaning, you can extend the life of your brush and save money in the process. To do this, simply take the brush apart and scrub it with soapy water, or cleaning the components more thoroughly with a soak in all-natural ingredients.

Frequent cleanings can prolong the lifespan of your Clarisonic brush head, but it’s still a good idea to change it out for a new one about every three months.

Unscrew the brush head to remove it from the handle.

Grip the brush head by the edges a twist counterclockwise. This will release it from its slot inside the handle of the unit.

Squirt a few drops of soap into the bristles of the brush.

Apply the soap directly to the brush head and let it seep in.

Scrub the brush head gently.

Use your fingers to work the soap into a thick lather. Make sure the soap is able to penetrate down to the base of the bristles. Continue scrubbing the brush head until it’s clear of all visible dirt and discoloration

Allow the brush to air dry.

Set the individual pieces aside on a clean, dry towel. When they’ve had a chance to dry, you can put the brush back together and resume regular use.
