Anker’s new eufy S4 video doorbell sees everything with 360-degree AI tracking

Anker’s eufy Video Doorbell S4 delivers rings like video calls and pans its panoramic feed as owners move their phone.

That panoramic feed comes from a 180-by-180° lens, which covers the doorstep from floor to ceiling and wall to wall rather than the narrower rectangular frame most video doorbells still rely on.

Within that frame, owners pan by moving a phone or VR headset, and each ring on what eufy bills as the world’s first VR doorbell arrives like an incoming video call that opens the feed in full-screen VR mode with two-way audio.

Tracking, detection and wired power

Once someone is in view, eufy’s OmniTrack AI system locks on to that person, and auto-framing crops the panoramic image so they stay centred in a tighter shot of each event rather than a distant figure in a wide frame.

The camera behind that tracking records 3K video in a square 9MP 3072 x 3072 frame at up to 24 frames per second with HDR, and adds up to 8x zoom plus dual spotlights for colour night vision.

Beyond the camera, detection relies on radar for longer-range movement detection and two PIR sensors closer to the door, a pairing eufy says separates people from false triggers such as insects and rain.

Those sensors feed custom detection zones that owners can draw within a 120° field out to eight metres, and the doorbell detects people, motion, packages and faces while a welcome light glows as visitors approach.

All of that hardware draws power from existing 16 to 24 VAC doorbell wiring alone, as the S4 skips battery and solar options and keeps a 2600mAh battery only as backup during power cuts.

Storage, platform support and pricing

There’s no need for a cloud subscription, as the S4 keeps clips on 4GB of built-in storage, while adding a HomeBase S380 unlocks continuous 24/7 recording plus AI recognition of people, vehicles, pets and packages.

That hub sits at the centre of the five-device Edge 5.0 range, and Frank Zhu, General Manager at Anker eufy, said homeowners see their property as “one cohesive space they need to protect”.

Outside the eufy app, the S4 works with Amazon Alexa, Apple Home and Google Home, though Apple Home requires a HomeBase S380 and all three platforms show only a fixed live view without VR mode or OmniTrack.

Anker has priced the S4 at $299.99 / £69.99 with a Chime 2 included. Pre-orders are open now and eufy expects shipments by the end of October 2026.
