The first two episodes of “Brothers,” Apple TV’s new comedy series starring Woody Harrelson (Natural Born Killers) and Matthew McConaughey (Interstellar), are now available to subscribers. Watch the trailer below.
’Brothers’ premieres on Apple TV
The “True Detective” co-stars are reuniting for “Brothers,” a new Apple TV series that riffs on the long-running rumor that Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson may actually be half-brothers.
“Brothers” was announced last June, with Lee Eisenberg (The Office, Jury Duty) serving as showrunner, and both actors joining a long list of executive producers in addition to starring.
The show marks McConaughey’s second collaboration with Apple TV, following last year’s Apple Original Film “The Lost Bus.” For Harrelson, it is also his second project on the platform, following his role as Moe Berkus in “Fly Me to the Moon.”
This season of “Brothers” will consist of eight episodes, with new episodes premiering every Wednesday through November 4.

“Brothers” follows McConaughey and Harrelson, who play fictionalized versions of themselves, and whose lifelong friendship is thrown into chaos when they uncover a decades-old secret: they might actually be brothers. After Woody’s daughter’s wedding falls apart, he loads up the family and heads to Austin for an extended stay at Matthew’s ranch. But what begins as a healing getaway quickly spirals when Matthew’s mother, Ma Mac (played by Holland Taylor), accidentally lets slip a long-buried secret that the two friends might actually be brothers. As Woody turns the ranch upside down in pursuit of the truth, Matthew finds himself juggling an entirely different identity crisis: a potential run for Governor of Texas. The result is a heartfelt, chaotic and wildly funny story about friendship, family, fame and the messy line between myth and reality.
