Reolink Unveils the OMVI 2i Ultra at IFA 2026, Delivering Wire-Free Security with Expansive Dual View Coverage

Reolink has unveiled a new wire-free security camera at IFA 2026 that combines a 4K wide-angle camera with a 3K pan-and-tilt lens, giving homeowners a much broader view of their property from a single device.

The new OMVI 2i Ultra is the latest addition to Reolink’s OMVI range and was announced at IFA Berlin on 4 September. Alongside its dual-camera setup, it brings the company’s SyncTrack tracking technology, solar charging and a 10,000mAh removable battery, making it designed for outdoor monitoring without the hassle of running power cables.

Two cameras, one view

The main selling point is the OMVI 2i Ultra’s dual-view coverage. One camera provides a 4K wide-angle view of the surrounding area, while the second 3K pan-and-tilt camera can look in another direction and follow detected objects.

Reolink’s SyncTrack system is designed to make the two cameras work together. When the wide-angle camera spots a person, vehicle or animal, the 3K PT camera can automatically track the target through a full 360-degree range, including after it moves outside the wide camera’s field of view.

You can also tap a point on the wide-angle feed to tell the pan-and-tilt camera where to look, which should make checking a particular part of the garden or driveway much easier.

Solar charging means less maintenance

The camera is completely wire-free, with Reolink’s SolarEase system providing up to 6W of solar charging. The company says around 30 minutes of sunlight each day is enough to keep it running.

If the weather isn’t cooperating, there’s also a removable 10,000mAh battery rated for up to six months on a single charge. That’s twice the battery life Reolink claims for comparable bullet-style PT cameras.

For nighttime security, the OMVI 2i Ultra includes colour night vision, two-way audio and active deterrence. Its AI detection can identify people, vehicles and animals, helping cut down on irrelevant alerts.

The camera also supports dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi 6, while local recordings can be saved to a microSD card with support for capacities up to 512GB.

Reolink OMVI 2i Ultra price and availability

Reolink hasn’t announced pricing yet, but the OMVI 2i Ultra is scheduled to launch in October 2026. It will be available through Reolink’s website, Amazon and select retailers.

For anyone wanting to cover a large garden, driveway or other outdoor space, the combination of two cameras, automatic tracking, solar charging and a sizeable battery makes this one of Reolink’s more interesting outdoor security launches.
