Apple’s upcoming Home Hub could set you back $350

Apple’s widely rumoured 7-inch Home Hub is now tipped to arrive in Spring 2026 with a target price of around $350.

This is according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, a well respected insider, who reports that the smart display is pitched as a central controller for lights, locks, cameras and more.

Two versions are reportedly in testing, including a wall-mounted panel and a tabletop model that resembles a screen-equipped HomePod mini. However, it’s unclear at this point which model commands the $350 price tag.

The devices are also said to have a built-in FaceTime camera and sensors that adapt the interface to whoever is standing in front of it.

It’s an intriguing prospect, but at $350 the hub will retail well above mainstream rivals like the Amazon Echo Show 11. In other words, it brings it in line with Apple’s launch price of the HomePod, but it’ll need to do more in order to justify that cost.

Manufacturing is expected to take place in Vietnam with BYD – a Chinese manufacturer – handling assembly, which is part of a broader shift to diversify production outside of China.

And while the product was previously tipped for release in March 2025, delays to Siri’s overhaul now means we’re not likely to see the Home Hub until spring 2026. Gurman reports that a companion indoor security camera and a tabletop robot, which basically adds a motorized arm to a 9-inch screen, will follow.
